Nanabush and the Spirit of Thunder
Based on the book by Daphne Odjig
When Nanabush seeks the cause of endless rain, they encounter differing perspectives and competing responsibilities that deepen their understanding of relationships, balance, and mino-bimaadiziwin, the ongoing journey of learning to live the good life. Adapted for the stage from Daphne Odjig's retelling of the Ojibwe Nanabush story, Nanabush and the Spirit of Thunder carries a story from oral tradition to illustrated book to live performance. Filled with humour and adventure, this family-friendly play invites audiences of all ages to reflect on relationships, responsibility, and the balance we seek within them.
